Daddy is gone

There is no Merry Christmas

Nor a Happy New Year

For this year you are

gone, gone gone...

I wear a smile for our babe

as he asks me "where is my daddy"

How do I explain to my baby boy

that daddy has gone away....

I know hes not coming back

Wrongfully so

I miss him yet...

I tell him, son

daddy has gone away

He'll be back some day.

Even though I know in my heart

that I will never see his face again.

But I try to fake my smile for our little boy.

Christmas comes

Christmas goes

Yet we are still alone.
