Looking down from the sky The world looks like a mirror A pure reflection of the neat cloudless sky The view from the top is breathtaking I revel in the moment: no expectations, just being, breathing... Enjoying this ephemeral balloon ride
Suddenly, the clouds start forming The clock is ticking, the beautiful sunny day turns gloomy and gray I thought don't fret, it's just a passing storm, it'll clear up soon Besides, the weatherman said so
The wind starts blowing, thunderstorm roaring And here I'm up high Literally on top of this breathtaking place I call home Where dirt smells like the scent of your childhood
The storm blows the balloon away, a thousand miles away I'm not gonna make it, the odds are not in my favor How many people have survived a balloon caught inthe perfect storm?
My entire life flashed before my eyes I saw, I heard, I smelled, I touched, I tasted what's like to cross over to the other side
Hours later, the storm is over I survived, I'm Robinson Crusoe without the ship But just like him, I was stranded in this island Where there's no one to talk to There's peace of mind, but I don't do well with too much serenity
Maybe someday I'll go back home where life is not as mad as here Where air, water, honey and milk are far from pure Where justice, equality, peace and love are lost and yet to be found But it's my home and they say you always miss your home.
