He held my hand whilst I was high
On the taxi journey home

And by home I mean
The cramped studio with a tiny bathroom

He always told me I don’t know how to rhyme
Because I kept losing at that silly little rhyming game he liked playing

Guess I’m lucky you don’t need rhymes to write a poem nowadays

He had a girlfriend
That he forgot to mention for 4 months
