You thought you could get away
With treating me like you did
and using me to cope
Like a child and his dog.

I meant nothing.
I was a body to fill the void
that another had left
And you never let me forget it.

You were never nothing.
Every touch and kiss
I could feel deep in my soul
and each made my heart sing.

You used me
and treated me how she had treated you.
You said you cared
yet you watched as I suffered.

Day by day
you knew it killed me.
You knew it and yet you used me
Like a child and his dog.
