Sweets and Caffeine

Six blocks away a cafe lies Taking in lovers by the hour And singles by the minute Serving coffee and sugar Milk pours out And the bitterness becomes an aftertaste Of the conversation that once took place Among two people holding each others glances At the face of it Coffee breath And Chocolate cake
