The old man and I
sat there
at that bus stop
waiting
time seemed
like eternity
we sat there
waiting
silent we were
a casual glance
here
and
there
waiting
I on the left
He on the right
gap
between
us
there we were
waiting
honks
children's laughs
crossing guard's whistle
we silent
calm just
waiting
finally
here was the bus
brakes
opens
on I go
I took my seat
and
looked out the window
off I went
and the man
there he was
just
*waiting
