Sleepland

As the overbearing grip left him with an illuminating glow, it was all he needed. The breath went still; heart no longer beating. He left with a smile on his face and peace in his heart. For years, his love was lost. She came back to let him go. Once gone, she now knows it was always him. No one else. She lay her head beside him, as she drifted into sleepland to be with him. Reunited once again. Lovers. Friends. Souls.
