Everyone remembers the Barbie Bandits;
two nubile bank robbers,         who giggling,
wearing blonde ponytails & svelte bods,
simply walked into several banks
on a robbery spree in & around
the Upper East Side,       & with a smile
& w/out raising their voices,
announced a robbery & politely asking
for the money,     received several thousands
of dollars no questions asked
& simply walked out w/out making a scene;
they were front page Tabloid legends,                     however,
they were soon caught while on a shopping spree at Macy's;
unlike the female bank robber who,               wielded a note
saying she had a gun & wearing clown
make-up has yet to be caught;
she was suspected                      of being a disgruntled artist
or a housewife desperate to make ends meet.
