I'm in a dark place,
a place I've been many times before.
I won't be here for long though,
just have a few emotions I need to explore.

Monotony has brought me here,
and regret will take me back.
Anxiety is off in the distance,
waiting for morning to attack.

Too blinded by pleasure,
to worry about what's to come.
Too busy finding ways,
to make these emotions numb.
