The Haunted
Apparitions appear as silence grows
Hauntings no one else can see
Thoughts come fast of all that was
With some that will never be.
A fire once bright slowly fades
Embers left loose and cold
Forgotten one in the wilderness lost
Here remaining to only grow old.
Heart to give, hands that move
Wasted well before their time
Dealt hurts transgressed constant play
In a mind that's lost sublime.
New days that pass, harder still
Desires to give up the ghost
All out of fight, still struggle on
With memories of ones loved the most.
