Winter and spring
play hide and seek
upon a frigid breeze

Mother natures
tug of war
brings mankind to its knees

The howling winds
cross frozen waters
cut us to the bone

Melting snow
and sprouting bulbs
shows we are not alone

And finally
the battle won
tween seasons old and new

Release the thoughts
of things gone by
for life begins anew
