Dear Poker lover
you use your words as cards
then leave me here scarred
with your cards scattered around my messy head

Had me picking cards in the dark
and kissing you behind broken words
to provoke my love fever
my poker lover

Now the fewer cards
the fewer calls
the more cards fall
the more I fall low
Low and slow

Oh how you left the cards on the table
with fear of picking our last
kissing-over card

My dear poker lover
I can play better
I can love better
