With smiles and happiness spread all around.
Life was ever so sweetly for these two loving clowns.
Although music has been their life from the start.
They will always love each other from the bottom of their heart.

With a guitar in his hands and his love by his side.
He played at his best as the journey began it's ride.
Through the harsh cold winter night to the hot summer days.
While he played his guitar the world stayed in amaze.

As the years grew on so did the wonderful sound.
There once came the time where he saw his love in a gown.
As he was so happy smiling beyond glee.
This man was so happy as happy could be.

Then one night she told him the news,
of which could be why he played the blues.
Months go by which seemed merely an hour.
They had a boy and a girl as pretty as a flower.

As they grew older so did their folks.
As the man knew so much he loved to tell jokes.
Time grew by as the girl wasn't so young.
She was blessed with two gifts but sadly lost one.

As the last gift grew up he became a pain,
but she was a mother of something to tame.
No one knew what he could achieve.
Maybe even this poem if he believed.

So this gift of a son could make people laugh.
Make them smile so the fun shall always last.
If he had to choose his favorite person by far.
It would most definitely be his grandpa and his guitar.
My grand father Steve Hicks won an award for being a musician, I've always looked up to him, and respect him.
