I've got a ticket to the end of the world, perfect for our first date. We can sit on a hill away from it all as the revolution rages on in the distance. This is a lovely moment, but not as lovely as you. The subtle apathy I have toward the fall of civilization is characteristic of the unapologetic affection I carry for you; your smile, your gentle expression, the experience of you. The fall of civilization happens all the time, but here we are, at this glorious moment in time free to share a look. The glimmer of the fiery torches in the background bares a dim unremarkability compared to the sparks suspended in the pools of your eyes. You and me, we could burn down the world or we could sit and smile, content in empathetic embrace, as the world burns itself in a dazzling performance all for us.
