Winter Love

And as the wind sighs softly,

Spinning snow through the air

I wonder if there are angels above me,

To protect me from life's scares.

And as I lift my head to the heavens,

The snowflakes kiss my cheeks

I wonder if I'll ever have a true sense

Of out of life, what I truly seek.

And as my nose grows pink with chill,

And the branches grow heavy with snow

I stand in a loud world, so still,

Underneath the moon's soft glow.

And as the world is at peace,

With lights diminished in the night

I lay beneath the stars to sleep,

Closing my eyes to the most beautiful sight.
