In that moment,
I would’ve traded all my luck
For you to just stay
My final night till this next moon,
As far as this moment,
My last with you
I would’ve said anything
For you to sit down
And resign yourself to the humming sound
Of our hearts in our ears
The sheets slipping like your car shifting gears
And burning every fence
Stretching out the minutes like lace
You tie around my neck and wrists
