The stars are sleeping on the calm black lake,
illuminating the sky down below.
Observing the magic I lay awake,
the dark of the night seems to overflow.
But suddenly the limitless sky failed.
Our universe supporting all of our faults
gave up to show us that evil prevailed.
It was our flaws that led to this assault.
Greed, hate, and crime only naming a few
effects that let to terrible defeat.
People used hate as something to pursue,
and now the world is left without retreat.
The universe can’t keep up with our pace.
For it is infinitely full of grace.
