A Departure
The shining sun comes through the trees
to bring another day.
With misty hills and frosted grass
the light will guide my way.
Not too sure on where I’m going
just far away from here,
the land lays out an open path
horizons disappear.
The forest whispers charming tunes,
a symphony takes flight.
Leaves rustle to the lovely songs
embracing the fine night.
The music leads me through the dark,
the glow of starlight falls.
I still don’t know where I’m headed,
but to you my heart calls.
