Your touch burned me
like fire
Your words chilled me
like ice
I realized
that without one
the other
would overpower...
would imbalance...
I realized
that without one
the other
extinguished...
destroyed...
leaving behind
ash
or
shards
and a destructing reality
that my heart
was no longer yours
nor
my very own

~ what did you do to my heart
