Bush Fall - - Bear River
The river, passing sluggishly,
twisting through the poplars' ranks,
moves a rolling, lazy thing
between her green and saffron banks.
Here and there, a silver bark
reflects the season and the sun;
and in the distance can be heard
the shallow chop of work begun.
