Fu-Fu
Grandma made plantain fu-fu
On the fire hearth.
A big iron skillet of hot coconut oil.
Her hands were gnarled and knobby. But.
Oh they knew the way.
Mashed green bananas and special. Salt season.
Dropped lightly . In fried to gold.
Out and rolled with a green glass bottle then.
Deep fry again.
Hot plantain fu-fu.
In coconut oil.
Hello Africa.
Kenya.
Nigeria.
Sweet and nice.
