Oh, when I consider
all the days  my feet   have   trod
this  base  and tired earth
so many  day  to have become  silfting sand
as though it were sand  upon the ocean's shore
as  my mind  wonders
through days long past
to  your arms I once knew
and my mind  goes  to meet you again
and I  am  haunted once again
as in a time so long ago
by a Gothic angel
dark rose  and dark  delight
come alive in my mind once again
and if you be some sin
Oh   have I wish to sin forever more
and my search  shall never end
never end
till I hold you once more
and though  hounds of hell
hunt for my soul
to  you my  heart  shall  ever belong
past all  days   of endless  time
though  they  be as cold  as ice
and black as coal
till  the moon  and stars
set  for their  final time
and the Universe  lies in a lifeless   sleep.
