Every day I wake up
Ready for the normality
And as I climb I wonder to myself
Where is my stop?
When can I rest?
Maybe after the next step on this endless staircase
But I keep climbing
Because I’m scared to see how far I have come
And how much is left to go
Everyday as I climb
Wondering why I didn’t stop to see
The damage continues
I am left Behind.
Yet I continue climbing
Hoping that one day I reach a platform
Never realizing that it doesn’t exist.
