DEADBEAT

Muted, muffled, dull thud on concrete, Staggered, drunken, half conscious nobody, Starved, seeking, worried about payments, Dick in hand, knocking on the wrong doors, Fire and brimstone stoked in the belly, Mad, strange, appetizing burlesque eyes, Obnoxious smacking and licking of parched lips, Rolling on half rationed legs, Quiet, sullen, mournful footsteps, Presently placed awkwardly one in front of the other, Memory serves correctly, destitute, reprise, Thunderclaps and crashing roars, Almost forgotten, with great relief, Soon, very soon, to be lost forever, Candlelight, sobbing vigils, no power, Nail, Nail, Nail, Praise in the box, graffiti walled, Like a bathroom stall, just as vulgar, Docile dissolving vessels, Brought to the commonplace dropoff, Settled down and greatly relieved.
