Sometimes I thought I stood alone to wander
Through difficult paths I would walk asunder.
Sometimes I wondered if you really did care
And if you had feelings at the time that seemed so rare.
But now when I look back I see that you tried
You lifted me up and stood by my side
You were there when I would cry
You would bring me joy and wipe my eye.

And now in this room I solemnly stand
And wonder how my life got so bland
You fought by my side
but through my trials I left with pride
And now I wonder why did I grow up?
When I often chose the hard way and the bitter cup
Oh how I want to be a child again
Playful, Joyful, youthful, and where innocence had once been.

You walked me through my path
showed me the better half
and now that you're gone I wish I just had 5 minutes to spare
I would show How much I care
you've helped me with the person i have become
and now my legacy has just begun
