I Imagine
I imagine you don’t know me well
Pretending to be a friend
Waking closely by my side
Your efforts are lost quickly
These days are where it starts
Needing double what it takes
Searching for truth
Never peeling back the failure
You can’t comprehend this level
Reaching out with one fragile hand
Your heart bleeds this pain
Wanting so bad to be felt
I imagine this is where I leave you
Struggling to see the ghost
Open our eyes
Don’t let him leave
Simple actions of friendship
Where are you?
I see bright lights coming at me
Jumping on this train seems the only way
Out of town
Down the dirt road
Pebbles and muddy steps
This is where I’ll find you
