Today, is the Greatest.

by emily-raso

I can see a new day, when I view aspirations for the future, Now when I awake, I give thanks for the roof over my shoulders. I used to pray, not to the God you all know. But to the darkness inside, asking it to please go. These thoughts in mind, aren't giving me release. So I set fire to my mind, and realized the true benefit of having peace. With my Body, My identity, and the person I was destined to be. I used to sit and wonder how it could possibly be, A girl with such intelligence ended living life like she was lost in a dream. I am tired and sick of what I've become to be. Today, is the Greatest day I have ever known. I will not live for tomorrow, Tomorrow's much to long.
