Faces II
I like to watch you look at me-
-I wonder what you see.
But is it such a mystery-
-a doll that cannot breathe.
And silently you plead with me-
-your lips won't make a sound.
A porcelain toy can't speak you see-
they don't
fall
down.
There is a place I like to go-
-a maze inside your mind.
And though you like to call it home-
-the walls you've built are mine.
And even when the dancing ends-
-we won't stop spinning round.
It's funny for we don't pretend.
they won't
fall
down.
I love it when you close your eyes-
-it's like you think you're free.
I see you travel far away-
-and then get caught by me.
I do not need to reach for you-
-to keep you on my ground.
For I'm the walls inside your mind-
that can't
fall
down.
