Pardon For My Heart

Hear my heart now racing

because my joys I'm facing

You're laying in my arms

And I'm shielding you from harms

As I hold you to my chest

I know these nights are best

I'd close my eyes and dream

but then I know my heart would gleam

Just with that reassuring touch

Or presence that I love so much

Pardon for it's frantic pace

But my heart's found reason to race

Give it just another time

And I'm sure that it will adjust fine

For this is where it wants to be

Another time and we both shall see

It shall find a steady beat

and those moments will be complete

So I beg pardon for my heart

but this is only its start
