When she speaks
Her eyes turn in the back of her head
like the dials on a black and white
I flip through the channels to see if she's brought me anything new
You are charismatic and that makes me nervous, because you are also cold
The veins in your neck pulse like tiny drums of war
And you've done to many tours
When you came back, you wrapped your hands around my neck
And said, "Here, have a taste."
Thank you for your service
