May 2018
I went from paper kites,
To a big city flight.
I loved the planes, they moved so fast.
I just wanted my journey to last.
But as we took our airborne leap,
I fell deep into sleep.
When I eventually awoke,
I couldn’t breathe, and began to choke.
The world was in a haze,
When I looked down my body was in a blaze
Fires glow brightest in those who love the spotlight
