You know what…
I am tired.
Tired of allowing society’s distorted perception of beauty define me.
I am beautiful.
You are beautiful.
We are all beautiful.
Beauty is not all about looks.
Beauty is personality.
Who YOU are as a person.
Everyone is beautiful on the outside.
Whether you are fat, skinny, curvy…
Have acne, freckles, stretch marks, dimples…
The list goes on.
Inner beauty is the true challenge,
But that is up to you to decide.
People always ask me,
“How can you sit here and compliment someone who has done you wrong?”
I just laugh and say,
“Their inner beauty is missing…
Their outer beauty is always showing.”
I am not about to sit here and trash talk anyone!
I know what it is like to be talked about badly.
I never want anyone else to feel that pain.
No matter how bad they treat me.
I have been called a ****, ugly, fat, weird, b**, etc…
But they can say what they want to me,
Because they do not know me.
I know me.
Now I do not expect you all to have that self control.
I just expect you to listen.
We are all sisters.
Fighting through society together.
Killing the game,
Running against the body shamers, the sexists, the rapists,
Anyone who threatens to stand in the way of our freedom.
We can do anything,
Learn to love,
But before that,
Learn to love yourselves.
YOU DO YOU.
Do what you want with your body,
Wear clothes YOU want to wear,
Be who YOU want to be!
