Though the stones you hurled at me
shattered me into innumerable pieces,
but look at how you have turned me
into the mosaic painting of a laughing girl.

Listen, those stones you threw at me
rolled into the mountain I climbed
to reach out for the azure sky
and touch the things I have dreamt of.

How do I offer you my gratitude?
For the stones you once flung at me
became the stepping stones I trod
into places no one has been
