She seeks, each morning new, her desire And me? I remember her, she who I did desire
Dripping, rain finds home from its flight from the clouds I still falling fail to land from loss of she who I did desire.
Downward, ever downward, continuance of journey To an end that God for me does desire
I alone, slowly race through crowds To be alone among them my desire
And none of them, not one seem to know me And fewer to know me seem to desire
Life - it is so - and to have it so I desire As she plays all cards to win her desire.
