May 2018
Ole no name brought me out here,
He sold me fancy dreams.
He made me think I was on cloud nine.
He sowed my tattered seams.
But, eventually the dust settled.
I saw his heart x-rayed,
And then began the revolution.
Our "love" began to fade.
And all that was left was me,
A woman all alone.
But, that was enough strength to comfort me,
And stand all on my own.
So though he comforts long today,
And soothes your weary soul.
One day if that is not the case,
It's not your worth you'll toll.
You'll find a new.
A brand new you,
With whom you'll want to love.
And give great thanks,
Self-reflection you drank.
And now you'll soar above.
