The Moon's Gloom
The Moon's Gloom
(Poem by Serenus)
The Sun
Big and bold
Is the king of the skies
No one can outshine him
And they all know better
Than to try
The moon
Hopes to one day bloom
And shine just as bright
But his shyness keeps him in the dark
So he only appears at night
Mars flirts with the stars
Earth is bursting with life
Venus flaunts her beauty
Eclipsing the moon as they all pass by
But he never gives up
He always shows up
And gleams with grace
In the intricate dance of the Milky Way
He always keeps his place
Powerfully commanding oceans to behave
He can stir up a serene sea
He is a guiding light in the darkest nights
And some say, he can sway human beings
Comforting is his quietness
Brilliant in his glow
Radiant in his wholeness
It’s a shame he doesn’t know…
