I studied Uri Geller until I was wise
to all his tricks,
refined them, took my show
on the road, won fame
and some fortune but never you,

traveled the whole world,
amazed multitudes
who praised my work in all
the tongues of Babel but never yours.

And so I am back here,
in my little house and alone,
the tabletop and every
surface littered with spoons.
I think I'll bend another before bed
