You expect me to
Sit here and take it
I sat there for years
Waiting for you
To grow up in some way
To be the man I needed you to be
You yell and scream
At the smallest infractions
You steal away my hope for you
Locking it in a box with your malice
Your love for me
Is gagged by the hate I feel
I know it’s there
Somewhere
But not here
Not now
So yell and scream
I just won’t listen
Anymore
