Once upon a time
In a cold and moon lit night,
I met a girl who could hold her own in a fight.
She was tired and weary from the battles of the day,
Yet she manages to smile so beautifully all the way.
She had little to no time to spare,
But then I can't believe her efforts just to be there.
Time waits for no man that is true,
So i took the chance to do the things I could do.
A simple dinner was all I could offer,
To my shock it was she who insisted to bother.
I dedicated a song on how wonderful she is no matter what,
To my stupidity, I wasn't able to sing straight because of the butterflies in my gut.
The way her eyes pierced through mine was like my mind shutting down, trying to restart.
The way she moves her head to the rhythm of the song was like an arrow to the the heart.
But then she had to say goodbye,
Time caught up with us and reminded her to fly.
It was a short walk to that taxi terminal,
But was the longest minute i had ever since her arrival.
The hug was warm and happy but then it was also sad,
The time we got was short but it was all we had.
And while the clouds cried tears by 10 pm,
The sky reminded us that wishes fall by 1 am.
