The Sun's Coming Up
The sun's coming up,
And it's quiet outside,
And oh, I wish you were mine,
The crickets sing,
And the birds take wing,
As dawn chases out the night,
The clouds are painted,
The air is cool,
One star still shines, glittering white,
It's peaceful and perfect,
A moment lost to time,
And still you sit, in the forefront of my mind,
The sun's coming up,
And it's quiet outside,
And oh, I wish you were mine.
