You say you are a friend.
Yet you only think of yourself.
You lie, steal,, and deceive.
A friend? More like a thieve.

You break a trust, one unspoken.
Years of laughter together now broken.
You take what little I had.
If you had only asked instead.

I would have given shoes off my feet.
Now you hide, run, and retreat.
Lashing out into the world.
A broken woman, a little girl.

True friends are not defined by years.
Nor hard times shared with tears.
Or how often you may see them.
Its defined by who you are when with them.
