Oct 2012
into the darkness, into the deep
she'll find a quiet place to sleep
where tears don't fall and words don't hurt
because no one ever valued her worth
and she was lost, afraid to fight
never knowing what's wrong or right
there once was pain filling up her heart
and it drove her into a life so dark
where nothing good would ever come
and she was just waiting for someone
to set her free, to let her go
so she could finally learn to grow
and then it happened, she was awake
and the world was hers to take
she had to find that strength within
and learn to love and feel again
she sits now, a smile lighting up her face
and knows she'll never return to that place
out of the darkness, out of the deep
she found something that was hers to keep
