Crack like a shot
Crystals fly into frozen air
Reflect low flung light of a near forgotten sun
Skin across coiled wires
Pumping with vital blood
Hot energy flowing like high voltage lines
Fleet across like an arrow
Swift and sure and deadly
Hot breath stains the air for a moment
Before winds cutting like a knife rips it away
Freedom of life comes at the price
Of unstaunched wounds
Of cries thrown into uncaring silence
Here there is only the moments
No future or past
Stretching out into the unending still of far horizons
Curvatures that can never be caught
Only glimpsed
