Tonight, this day, I confess the sins,
Expose the troubles of a blind child.
Of his present regrets, his anguish,
Of the life he left behind.

With no faith in God, and hope for the wrong,
A helpless boy asks what the future holds.
He plagued himself, with another life;
One of lonely days and bumpy roads.

On a sunny night, he scanned his paths,
Looking for every excuse to remove his own existence.
And what he realised, through the deepest thought was,
Everything seems so much better from a distance.

All he ever wanted, all he really needed,
Was the comfort of the unaware.
Yet he looked for it through silence,
Through self- hatred, a lack of care.
She was yet to see right through his smile,
Yet to realise, he didn't plan to stay.
So he packed regret, stomped his pain,
And never looked back as he walked away.

His roads were dark, his eyes so burning,
As he walked into a net tangled in emotion;
His steady pace fell, his knees ached,
Yet he continued on to a poison-drunk ocean.

His thirst for love, hunger for a friend,
Let his humanity and desperation stay.
Still he kicked and punched his memories
As he told himself, 'Just walk away'.
Just walk away.
