Train Tracks
Someone lost their life today,
On the train tracks,
He fell.
Did he know?
That today would be the last?
Did he know?
To many,
He was an inconvenience,
A disruption in their schedule
Many arrived at work late,
Some had a longer trip,
Others had to take alternative routes
Now,
It is the end of the day,
Everyone’s headed home,
Exhausted by the day
He,
He is “this morning’s news”
Just a thing that happened..
Tomorrow he’ll be forgotten
Are they wondering?
Do they see? Really see...
That today it was him,
And tomorrow could be them?
