Mar 2018
I planted bulbs with my grandmother
Simultaneously I buried myself in a shallow bed
And allowed you to water me

Although I slept
You fed me

Although I quiver
You are patient

Shedding my shell into the earth
Growing from my home
Into your admiring vision

My own body
However open in the spring
