It’s changing.
They said it was once beautiful,
amazed people with its talents,
and opened their eyes to a new perspective.

But maybe it wasn’t the world that was changing,
It was….. her.
She became so frozen-hearted,
so lifeless.
The light was slowly fading away,
from being so lone and
incommunicable.

She was so cold and dark,
from being stripped of her inner beauty.
Her heart became frozen like a waterway
on a cold winter day.

They all knew something was wrong,
but they stood as still as a tree,
they wanted to let her be.

Until one came along,
he tried his best to help her see the light,
but the darkness just dragged her back in.

He tried to pull her back,
offered her crystals to wear.
But she just couldn’t escape.
So he followed her into the darkness,
just to see what it’s like.

It was terrible in his eyes,
so he shut them for a slight moment,
when he opened them he realized she was gone,
out of his sight.

He looked around,
but she was nowhere to be found.
Then, he heard a quiet laughter,
That came from behind him.

He turned around and began to cry,
as he then witnessed darkness in her eyes.

She crawled down,
saw the sadness in his eyes,
whispered goodbye in his ear,
and left.

He just stood there,
ready for the darkness to take him too,
he said his last three words, collapsed
I. love. you.
