Linger Ever After
Come freely darkened shadow
Come along with the wind
Set your sights on the horizon
And I will mend your broken wing
Come along enjoy the weather
Feel the breeze throughout your hair
Mark December for your departure
And I will linger ever after
Come as you are I don’t care if you’re near or far
Come as you please I know you are all I need
Believe what you see
We’re in a ******* hole
No way to be certain
No need to grow old
But I’ve been one to notice
That the present is like the past
And all our dreams are in focus
But we can’t seem to make them last
So I’ll awake from my slumber
I will update my calendar
I will see that it’s December
And I will linger ever after
