When I hear sirens now
It’s different
It doesn’t drift off like dust after sound
It stays it lingers
I’m in the afterwards
Where the sound is like cymbals
And the dust explodes
That person
The driver
I am them
My sorrow is not in my memory
It’s for them in the now
