It’s not every day that you wake up feeling sure about something, but it happens. You get that feeling. And you don’t think about anything else but what’s right in front of you. You don’t look back. You don’t even try to convince yourself and anyone else that it’s going to last a lifetime. Because even though you’re sure about it now, you know that it does not come with a guarantee that it’s meant for you. You may put your whole heart into something yet it does not automatically make it yours.
And I’ve had my fair share of heartbreaks to have reached the point of expecting the temporary in everything.
But do know this for sure- I’ve already accepted that we may not end up together, but I love you now and I will love you for a long time.
And even if that long time will hurt, I am and will always be thankful that you’ve been given to me in this lifetime.
